preschool rooms

Our preschool rooms (Sunshines and Rainbows) are a vibrant, engaging space for children aged three and over — full of opportunities to explore, imagine, and learn together. Here, play and purpose come naturally, as children build the confidence, independence and curiosity that prepare them for school and beyond.

Child-centred learning

The environment is set up to promote choice and creativity. Children can move freely between areas for art, early writing, construction, imaginative play and discovery. Practitioners design activities around each child’s interests — from small-world storytelling to early science experiments — encouraging children to ask questions, share ideas, and problem-solve together.

Language and communication are at the heart of the two preschool rooms. We use stories, songs and daily conversations to expand vocabulary and build early literacy skills. Early maths is woven into everyday play, from counting cups in the snack area to measuring how high a tower can grow.

Cosy ready corners offer quiet time for reflection, while our outdoor areas — including the Den Workshop, Growing Garden and Potion Station — give children space to be adventurous and inventive. Practitioners encourage teamwork, resilience and kindness, helping children learn how to care for themselves, others and their environment.

By the time children leave the Rainbows, they’re ready for the next step — curious, capable, and eager to keep learning.
