We’re looking forward to welcoming our nursery families to a special Father’s Day Picnic at Blue Windmill Nursery on Friday 19th June 2026 (weather permitting).
Father’s Day Picnic Rugby
The picnic will begin at 4pm and gives us a wonderful opportunity to bring together children, parents and siblings for a relaxed afternoon in our nursery gardens. Blue Windmill families are invited to bring a picnic blanket and enjoy some time together outdoors while the children proudly share the cakes they have been helping to make. We’ll also be providing cold drinks for everyone to enjoy.
At Blue Windmill, we believe that strong parent partnerships are one of the most important ingredients in a child’s early years. When families and nursery staff work together, children benefit from consistent support, stronger relationships and a greater sense of belonging. Events like this help us to build those connections and celebrate the community that surrounds each child.
Family occasions also provide valuable learning opportunities for children. Celebrating special days helps children develop an understanding of relationships, traditions and the people who are important in their lives. While Father’s Day means different things to different families, it is a chance to recognise and appreciate the adults who care for, support and encourage our children every day.
Our Father’s Day Picnic is just one of the family events we enjoy throughout the year. We love creating opportunities for parents and carers to spend time in the nursery environment, meet other families and share in their children’s experiences.
